Staring to count on U-CAN

The National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU) has developed a tool that I have found increasingly helpful as more and more schools have signed on.

The tool is called the U-CAN profile, with U-CAN standing for the University and College Accountability Network.

According to the U-CAN blog, the number of participating colleges and universities has grown by 19% in just under a year.

For a sense of what a U-CAN profile can do for a student's college search, open up a couple of browser tabs and flip back and forth between Seton Hall and Drew, for example.

It's good stuff, and I am more and more including links to the relevant U-CAN profiles in my emails to students and families. How about you?

Thanks for the endorsement! We're working hard to make U-CAN better. In September we plan to release U-CAN 2.0, which will include a comprehensive search interface to help narrow down your school choices.

If you've got any other feedback, we'd love to hear it (ucan@naicu.edu).

Thanks again,
